In order to make it through my mornings of getting the kids ready for school, enduring the carpool line, taking care of my fur babies and then teaching one, two or three classes in one morning, I have to eat something that will give me energy! The best thing I've found to give me that energy is oatmeal and egg whites. I cook them together, in the same bowl, all stirred up. I know it sounds disgusting but don't knock it until you've tried it. It's like having a custard for breakfast...and who doesn't like something that tastes like dessert but is actually good for you?!?!
Half a cup of Old Fashioned oats (not the instant kind)
1 C of water
Cook for two min in the microwave
Two egg whites, or how ever many you want, stirred into oatmeal really really well
Cook for an additional two minutes
Optional: Splenda and cinnamon, to taste
IF I don't eat this I am draggin' by noon and too hungry to care what I eat for lunch.
Try it and tell me what you think! I promise I won't bite your head off if you don't like it (not in public anyways). :P

You are what you eat...
Ventured out this morning and picked up some pumpkins and some Mums for the front yard. Isn't Calloway's display so cute?
Everything in moderation. Right?
I LOVE FALL!!
Hope you get out and enjoy it too!!!

The Hunger Games
So, this seems like I'm going to post about starving or about food but this is actually about the series I'm recently enthralled in.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hunger_games.jpg
I LOVE to read and thanks to my friends Stacie and Kristi I have found my next "Twilight" type series of books. Unfortunately, I am on the last book of the three book series. READ them! You will be glad you did!! Oh and look it up on youtube after you read them...I like to see the fan made trailers that people are already coming up with!
Happy reading!!

Dreams...
Do you ever have a dream, wake up and say to yourself "boy, that was a weird dream"?
I have the same type of dreams often and they ALL have something to do with exercise. I get most of my workout routines from these weird dreams and I use them in my Boot Camp classes. If you are in one of my classes and I have this crazy look in my eye or that smirk on my face (which is most of the time), chances are I've thought of that crazy workout you're about to do, in my dreams...hence the name of my blog.
One of my 9 classes I teach a week
I also consider my job not a "job" at all...it's a DREAM for me to be a Fitness Instructor! You see, I gained ALOT of weight with both of my pregnancies. I'm talking a whole other person. (I'll post those pics when I can get my scanner to work)
When my youngest, Chief Me First, was a year old I decided I needed to lose that whole other person before my husband found someone else. He really wouldn't leave me and he never told me I was anything but beautiful but I was unhappy and nothing he said was going to make me feel happy about the way I looked and felt. I worked and worked at losing that baby weight. It took me a year of keeping a food journal and working out every stinkin' day for an hour to lose that weight.
It wasn't easy.
After my goal was met and both of my kids were in school I decided to help others in need of getting in shape and/or losing weight...And that, My Dear Friends, was the start of my DREAM.
I started this blog mainly because my friends told me I needed to and I follow a few blogs and I thought to myself "I can do that!".
So....here goes nuthin'...there's no turning back now!
These are the people that mean the most to me in this world.
Chief Me First, my 10 year old son and Banana Cakes, my 13 year old daughter
(this is what we call them at home so that's what I'll call them on here)
E-Dub, my husband and soul mate for 15 years
I plan on writing about fitness mostly but I love to talk about healthy eating, fashion, music and decorating so this will be a combo of everything fun!
Hope you enjoy and don't fall asleep!
